PartedWays is a social networking project aimed
at bringing people back together who have parted
ways. Many of us do not remember enough details
to find the friends we grew up with. While you
may know a first or last name, or have a broad
idea of their age, most names are far too common
to run basic internet searches. In addition,
names change with marriage, and nicknames used
as a kid may not be used as adults. At
PartedWays, you run searches by listing places
you have been, organizations you have attended,
and the years that correspond with each. Once
you add your group, you will be able to see who
else was part of that group during the same
time, and view their current contact
information. You will have the ability to see
the people who lived on your block the same time
you lived there. You can also locate people who
attended the clubs you were in including scout
troops, school organizations, sports teams, or
anything else that you been a part of. Old
military buddies can find each other in the same
manner. There is also a feature to help reunite
parents and kids of adoptions. Once you have
added your group, you have the option to add
notes about yourself to help friends recognize
you. You may describe yourself, state where you
sat in you classroom, or explain who you are
looking for. The options are limitless. The goal
of PartedWays is to help bring people back
together where specifics about that person are
unknown.
